Pre Property Photoshoot Checklist

Here are some tips to prepare your home for real estate photography.

Following this pre-shoot checklist will ensure that your home is photographed quickly, efficiently, and grab the attention of buyers!

Interior

  • Less individual items in a picture is better for your shoot.

  • Remove personal photographs from walls cabinets appliances.

  • Turn off all TVs, computer screens, and ceiling fans

  • Open up blinds and remove any fixed window coverings that block natural light.

  • Move all small items into closets or cabinets.

  • Turn on all lights, lamps, etc.

  • Clear counter of all personal belongings.

  • Open shower curtains – remove all bottles, razers, soap, etc.

  • Add flowers to countertop or island and dining room table.

  • Remove all small electronics from plugs in walls.

Exterior

  • Remove vehicles from driveway and away from the front of the home.

  • Place trash cans and anything that is not attached to the home out of site.

  • Organize deck furniture, uncover grill, open patio umbrella, freshen cushions.

  • Clean up deck/patio area

  • Make sure yard is free of kid’s toys, evidence of pets, unnecessary clutter etc.

  • Clean up landscaping

  • Remove hoses, and any other garden equipment

  • Tuck away sports equipment
